High Steel installs new stretcher leveler line

High Steel, Lancaster, Pa., has installed a 72- by 0.500- in. by 60,000-lb. SUREGRIP® stretcher leveling line from Red Bud Industries.
The new line consists of an inline stage and load system, dual stub uncoiler, heavy-gauge peeler/breaker, crop shear, dual roller levelers, adjustable stretcher leveler, heavy-gauge grip feed, variable-rake shear, and a heavy-gauge drop stacker with end discharge rollouts.
The new line is designed to operate in two different modes. For running thick plate, the line operates in start/stop mode. For thinner material, the line runs in a looping mode.
