Combilift announces $50 million investment in new manufacturing facility

Combilift Ltd., based in Monaghan, Ireland, has announced it will invest $50 million over the next two years in a new manufacturing facility in Ireland, which will create 200 additional jobs over the next five years. Most of the new jobs will be for skilled technicians and design engineers; another 200 jobs will be created during the two-year facility construction period.

The 430,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing site—more than twice the size of the company’s present manufacturing facilities—will include a dedicated R&D building and adjoining administrative office.

The firm, which has a U.S. office in Greensboro, N.C., offers multidirectional forklifts, articulated forklifts, straddle carriers, and other material handling equipment.
