Houghton receives Q1 award from Ford Motors in Brazil

Houghton Intl., Valley Forge, Pa., has received the Ford Q1 award, Ford Motor Co.'s highest recognition of supplier quality.
Since 2004 Houghton's FLUIDCARE Division has provided chemicals and fluids management services for Ford Motor Co. Brasil Ltda. To qualify for the award, Houghton underwent a rigorous evaluation of automotive quality criteria, as well as of other factors such as communication, teamwork, and management review.
Houghton produces specialty chemicals, oils, and lubricants for industries such as metalworking, automotive, and steel.
