Houghton acquires Shell Metalworking, Metal Rolling Oils business

Houghton Intl. Inc., Valley Forge, Pa., has completed its acquisition of Shell's Metalworking and Metal Rolling Oils business, a global specialty fluids manufacturer. More than 200 Shell employees have become part of Houghton as Shell transferred ownership of three manufacturing plants in Dortmund, Germany; Turin, Italy; and Rouen, France.

Joining Houghton's product offering are the Shell product brands of Metalina, Adrana, Sitala, Dromus, Macron, Garia, Fenella, Ensis, Voluta, Callina, Formage, and Percol.

Paul DeVivo maintains his post as CEO of Houghton.

Houghton Intl. develops and produces chemicals, oils, and lubricants for the metalworking, automotive, steel, and aluminum industries.
