Hypertherm acquires manufacturer, supplier of laser consumables

Hypertherm, Hanover, N.H., recently acquired ESSE A Srl., Italy, a manufacturer and supplier of laser consumables and accessories.

The acquisition adds to Hypertherm's manufacturing assets and customer base in laser cutting heads and consumables, while expanding its product offering to its global channel partners. In addition, it provides ESSE A with access to Hypertherm's technology, global operations, and sales infrastructure. ESSE A and its 20 associates will remain in Italy.

ESSE A's laser consumables, including nozzles and other manufactured accessories, are sold around the world, and its optics and lenses are sold exclusively in Italy.

Hypertherm designs and manufactures plasma cutting systems for use in a variety of industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, and automotive repair.
