Linde Gas opens nitrogen liquefier
Linde Gas LLC has begun operating a nitrogen liquefier at its Canton Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Canton, Ohio.
The liquefier converts gaseous nitrogen byproduct, previously lost during the production of gaseous oxygen, liquid oxygen, and liquid argon, into a daily production increase of 500 tons of liquid nitrogen.
The liquefier addition represents the third major expansion at the Canton ASU since it was built in 1985.
