ABICOR Binzel announces promotions, hires robotics laser specialist

ABICOR Binzel Corp., Frederick, Md., has promoted Paul E. Pfingston to the position of national sales manager and Robert R. Magers as customer service supervisor. In conjunction with its affiliate HighYag Laser Technologies, the company also has hired Scott Heckert as a robotics laser specialist.
Before joining the company, Pfingston worked in sales for five years with NASCO, eight years with WISCO, and three years at Union Tank Car. He is a graduate of Governors State University, University Park, Ill., with a major in business administration.
Magers' is responsible for overall supervision of customer service with an emphasis on building a strong rapport with major accounts while establishing an improved network of internal and external communications.
Heckert's primary focus as a robotics laser specialist is increasing demand for laser welding, cutting, and brazing products and services primarily within the automotive market. Extended responsibilities include representing the company's GMAW, GTAW, and robotic product lines.
Heckert is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in welding engineering. Before joining the company, he worked for more than seven years for Modern Tool and Die.
