The Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) has named Carole M. Rogin as its new Executive Director.
In making this announcement, AWMI International President Victoria Zanutto noted, "Carole has been a part of AWMI for over 11 years, so she has grown with our organization and knows it well. As the founder and president of Clarion Management Resources, AWMI's association management company, Carole helped us transition successfully from volunteer to staff management, she facilitated our Strategic Plan, and she has participated in most of our meetings for over a decade."
The Association of Women in the Metal Industries is a professional society of individuals who share the belief that women in similar industries who come together benefit themselves, their careers, and their companies through interaction, education and sharing of expertise. AWMI was founded in California in 1981 to foster the professionalism and personal growth of women in the metal industries, address their unique challenges, and publicize their achievements. The programs and activities of the AWMI are structured to enhance members' knowledge, skills and experience. AWMI advocates the promotion of professional women and the increase in their numbers in metal and metal-related companies. Membership is open to both women and men seeking professional development and career advancement.
