Chrysler LLC posts strong retail sales across Midwest, Rockies, and Plains

Chrysler LLC's sales throughout the Midwest, the Rockies, and the plains of the United States posted a 31.5 percent retail sales increase over last month. The region exceeded the overall corporate sales performance, which also was strong in February. Chrysler LLC nationwide saw an increase in retail industry marketshare from 9.6 percent to 11 percent this month and outpaced the industry retail sales by 9 percent.

Nationwide, for the first time since 2006 and only the second time in history, Chrysler LLC outsold Ford Motor Co., placing Chrysler LLC in the top three volume automotive manufacturers in the United States.
