Guidelines for installing steel conduit/tubing available
The Conduit Committee of the Steel Tube Institute of North America (STI) has announced the availability of a new edition of its "Guidelines for Installing Steel Conduit/Tubing," which was developed to aid in the design and installation of wiring systems and adherence to National Electrical Code® requirements.
The updated guidelines cover the installation of rigid metal conduit (RMC), intermediate metal conduit (IMC), and electrical metallic tubing (EMT), their fittings, and other applicable accessories.
The manual also covers information on fire-stopping and fire-blocking, corrosion protection, equipment grounding and bonding, and the proper support of raceways.
