Kennametal elects Caterpillar exec to board

Kennametal Inc. announced today that it has elected Steven H. Wunning, group president and executive office member of Caterpillar Inc., to its board of directors. Wunning will join the board in July 2005.

Wunning began his career at Caterpillar in 1973 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility in the areas of quality, manufacturing, product support, and logistics. He has administrative responsibility for the Financial Products Division, Latin American Division, Logistics Division, Product Support Division, and Systems & Process Division.

Wunning has an undergraduate degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla and an executive M.B.A. from the University of Illinois. He also serves as a director or member of several professional and civic organizations.
