Mueller Industries appoints board director

Mueller Industries Inc., a manufacturer of tube and fittings, has announced that Alexander P. Federbush has joined the company's board of directors.

Federbush is president of the Queens West Development Corp., a subsidiary of the Empire State Development Corp. and a public-benefit corporation that is a joint venture among New York State, New York City, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Before joining Queens West, Federbush was director of industry development for the Strategic Business Division of Empire State Development. He was appointed to the New York State Financial Services Modernization Task Force.

Federbush is a member of the Building Congress of New York and a fellow of the Institute for Urban Design. He formerly was a member of the Young President's Organization and also served on the board of trustees and audit committees of French-Polyclinic and Beekman Downtown Hospital. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
