Timken names vice president–product innovation

Donald J. Remboski has been named vice president–product innovation in The Timken Company's Technology Group at Timken Research in North Canton, Ohio. In this position, Remboski creates strategies for inventing and deploying new product technologies.

Early in his career, Remboski was employed as a programmer at Manufacturing Data Systems Inc. and the University of Michigan, both in Ann Arbor, Mich. In 1983 he moved to Digital Equipment Corp. in Hudson, Mass., where he served as a design engineer in the Semiconductor Engineering Group. In 1985 Remboski moved to Barrack Laboratories in Malborough, Mass., as project coordinator on the Spark–Ignition Engine Programs. Since 1991 he has been employed by Motorola Automotive in Dearborn and Farmington Hills, Mich., where he has held positions of senior project engineer, staff engineer, and senior staff engineer of the Advanced Projects Group, member of the technical staff, and director, Automotive Innovation Center, his most recent position.

Remboski holds 38 personal patents and has received the Motorola Distinguished Innovator Award and Motorola Master Innovator Award. He has a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.
