Dixie-Southern adds sales, estimating staff

Dixie-Southern, Duette, Fla., has added a sales and estimating team to help achieve faster turnaround for its RFQs, a stronger project management focus for customer requests, and to assist manufacturing sales representatives in marketing its products and services.

This new team consists of W. Glen Johnson, engineering manager; Michael Rendas, estimator/project manager; Jarrod Randel, business development manager, Nickolas Kinnett, sales associate; and Jimmy Kimani, project manager/estimator.

Johnson has worked for Dixie-Southern for 20 years and is responsible for all engineering functions. He is a licensed Florida professional engineer and a mechanical engineering graduate of Georgia Tech University.

Rendas has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and focuses on estimating and project management. He is a licensed Florida professional engineer and a graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Randel has worked for the company for the past year, having previously served in the U.S. Navy and as an analyst for Stonehenge Growth Capital in Tampa. He is responsible for creating new sales opportunities, assisting marketing efforts, and driving sales in regions that do not have sales representation. He is a graduate of the University of Tampa.

Kinnett is responsible for managing the estimating process, including setting priority for all RFQs, providing estimates, and managing projects. He comes to Dixie-Southern from the food and industrial service industry and has a bachelor's degree from Johnson and Wales University.

Kimani has 20 years of experience as a draftsman, estimator, and project manager in the steel fabrication industry in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. He has completed a three-year curriculum in architectural engineering at Southern Tech in Georgia.

Dixie-Southern is an ASME steel plate and pipe fabricator specializing in oversized and overweight capabilities while providing services for all phases of production, from raw material sourcing, design, and engineering to fabrication of final product.
