Eriez celebrates 70 years in business

Eriez®, Erie, Pa., a manufacturer of magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, X-ray, materials feeding, screening, conveying, and controlling equipment, is marking its 70th year in business in 2012.

The company states that it plans to observe the anniversary throughout the year by striving to achieve several goals, including continuing its safety record for no lost-time accidents; opening the new Erie Wager Road facility, as well as new or upgraded plants in Canada, China, India, and the U.K.; introducing a new product; and hitting a new high number of employees worldwide.

Eriez was founded in 1942 in the basement of the Merwin family home. Today the international firm has manufacturing facilities in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, India, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa and sales offices across the U.S. and in about 80 international markets on five continents.
