ESAB names VP/GM, consummables

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has announced that Nick Culich was named vice president and general manager of consumables, effective Nov. 6, 2006. He is based at the company's filler metal manufacturing plant in Hanover, Pa.

Culich's 30-year career includes key manufacturing positions and significant consulting projects, focusing primarily on manufacturing operations. He has also taught operations management at DePaul University in Chicago. He most recently served as vice president of manufacturing for Bourns Inc.'s Automotive Division in Jamesville, Wis., where he was responsible for significant accomplishments in the areas of cost reduction, product quality, materials management, and improved manufacturing efficiency at both the U.S and Mexico-based operations.

Culich holds an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois.
