ESAB North America appoints president
ESAB Welding & Cutting products has announced that Del Tanner, chairman and CEO of Anderson Group Inc. (AGI) has assumed the role and responsibilities of president of ESAB North America in addition to his responsibilities as chairman and CEO of AGI. Tanner replaces Andy Blanchard, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
ESAB is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGI, headquartered in Atlanta. According to company officials, Tanner's appointment is part of an effort to streamline the company.
Tanner joined AGI as president and CEO in May 2005. He formerly was president and CEO of RMC USA Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in business administration, both from Arizona State University.
