BMW Group expands South Carolina plant

The BMW Group has announced plans to invest $900 million in expanding capacity at its Spartanburg, S.C., plant. The expansion, expected to create 300 new jobs by the end of 2012, is set for completion in 2014.
The company already invested $750 million in the plant's expansion for production of the new BMW X3® between 2008 and 2010.
