Knapheide Mfg. to add jobs

Knapheide Mfg. has announced plans to add up to 100 new jobs at its plant in Quincy, Ill.
The company has filled 40 positions already — mostly welding jobs — and is still searching for 60 more workers. For inexperienced workers, a four-week certificate welding program is available for a fee through John Wood Community College, also in Quincy.
Knapheide officials say dependability, communication skills, and the ability to work well with others are very important qualifications for new hires as well.
