Lenovo to open U.S. computer manufacturing line

October 10, 2012

Lenovo has announced that it will establish a U.S. personal computer production line in Whitsett, N.C. The company anticipates that the move will create 115 new manufacturing jobs for workers building Think-brand notebook and desktop PCs, tablets, engineering workstations, and servers for sale to domestic businesses, government, and education customers, as well as consumers.

The line is scheduled to open in early 2013 in the company's recently expanded, 240,000-sq.-ft. U.S. distribution center.
