German automotive supplier iwis has announced plans to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Murray, Ky. The project will create 75 new, full-time jobs and entail a more than $12.5 million investment.
The 119,000-sq.-ft. facility will produce timing drive systems for engines. Operations will start at the end of 2013, with production ramping up in 2014.
The company produces automotive and industrial chains, employing more than 1,000 people at 22 facilities worldwide.
