Nordyne to close Missouri plants

March 19, 2013

Nordyne, St. Louis, a manufacturer of heating and cooling products, has announced it will gradually relocate its split system and furnace manufacturing lines to a new manufacturing campus in Saltillo, Mexico. The move will affect about 700 employees in the Boonville and Poplar Bluff, Mo., facilities. The company will continue to manufacture select heating and cooling systems at its Dyersburg, Tenn., plant.

The first Missouri production line is scheduled to move in early 2014. Production line moves will continue one at a time, with Poplar Bluff closing by late 2014 and Boonville closing at the end of 2015.
