Airblast AFC completes paint booth installation for rail group

Airblast AFC, a manufacturer of paint spray booths, air makeup units, and powder coating equipment in Oroville, Calif., has completed work on a $1.4 million project for a large rail group that repairs, sells, manages, and leases a fleet of nearly 23,000 various types of railcars and locomotives.

The new facility includes a blast booth, paint booth, and drying booth for the maintenance of the railcars. The three booths are each about 25 ft. wide by 90 ft. long. Four blast machines allow up to four operators to work on a job, while personnel lifts help ensure worker safety.
