DeVilbiss, Binks announce upcoming training programs

DeVilbiss, Binks has collaborated with Owens Community College to present two training programs in November at the college in Toledo, Ohio.

The NESHAP Subpart HHHHHH “6H” half-day training program is scheduled for 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 8. It will include both classroom and hands-on sessions. The program is designed for attendees involved in paint stripping operations that use methylene chloride-containing paint stripping formulations; spray application of coatings to motor vehicles and mobile equipment; and spray application to a plastic or metal substrate of coatings containing compounds of chromium, lead, manganese, nickel, or cadmium.

The three-day Spray Finishing Technology Workshop is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, Nov. 9 -11. Both classroom and hands-on sessions are included in the program, which is worth two continuing education units. Attendees should be involved with industrial, contractor, or maintenance spray finishing applications, or spray equipment sales and distribution. Topics will include equipment types and selection; equipment setup, operation, and maintenance; surface preparation and defect analysis; material selection; and safety and regulatory concerns.
