Galvanizing awards nominations needed

The American Galvanizers Association has announced its 12th annual Excellence in Hot-Dip Galvanizing Awards competition.

The awards, which are presented annually, recognize projects that utilize hot-dip galvanizing in an ideal, creative, innovative, or monumental fashion. Award categories are: artistic; bridge and highway; building and architecture; civic contribution; duplex systems; electrical, utility, and communication; food and agriculture; industrial; international; original equipment manufacturing; recreation and entertainment; and water and marine.

All entries must be received or postmarked on or before Dec. 9, 2005. Membership is not required to enter, but projects submitted must have been galvanized by an AGA member, and construction completed in 2005. The competition is open to all architects, engineers, fabricators, and other members of the specifying community.
