Greenkote opens joint venture facility in Shanghai

Greenkote PLC, Brook Park, Ohio, a provider of zinc-based anticorrosion metal coatings, has announced the opening of a new facility in Shanghai, PRC, which will provide Greenkote® coatings to the Far East region. The new licensee, Shanghai Premier Tension Control Bolts Co. Ltd. (SHTCB), is a joint venture comprising Tension Control Bolts Ltd. of the U.K., Shanghai High Strength Bolts Plant Ltd., and Shanghai Yan Yan Trading.

The new firm has a full coating line with a capacity of 300 tons of parts per month. The coating is applied to ferrous metals and alloys by a patented thermal diffusion process. It is free of acids, chlorides, cyanides, trivalent and hexavalent chromium, cadmium, heavy metals, and VOCs.
