MetoKote Corp. adds powder coating line

MetoKote Corp., a Lima, Ohio-based custom coating applicator, has announced the addition of a new powder coat system at its Peru, Ill., facility. The line is designed to provide additional product offerings to customers seeking both electrocoat and powder coat.

Using a Nordson ColorMax® quick-change powder coating system, the line is located in a controlled room to ensure suitable temperatures for powder application and storage and to control environmental contaminants. The attached conveyor system is equipped with load bar tracking to provide online work instructions to allow employees to instantly view part integrity and provide quality alert notifications.

Currently coating four colors, with the ability to coat limitless colors, the system can accommodate parts up to 36 by 72 by 72 in. and weighing up to 500 lbs.

In addition to the new powder coat line, the plant features a black monorail electrocoat system and an electrocoat in buff yellow.
