Oshkosh Corp. launches Oshkosh Finishing Services

Oshkosh Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., has launched a line of services that provide manufacturing, corrosion protection, and top coating to heavy-duty industrial, specialty vehicle, and commercial products companies throughout the Midwest.

The new business group, called Oshkosh Finishing Services, is founded on the disciplined processes and exacting quality specifications required to manufacture products for the U.S. Dept. of Defense and a variety of commercial customers.

The new company reports that it operates one of the most expansive electrocoating facilities in the U.S. It houses one of the largest programmable hoist systems (PHS) in the world and a slide rail square transfer system (SST). Together, these systems can accommodate parts and components of almost all shapes and sizes, in large or small volumes.

Corrosion protection services include cathodic epoxy coatings paired with zinc-phosphate pretreatment; immersion processes that deliver uniform coverage and thickness for complex parts; and final coatings that provide salt spray, humidity, and cyclic corrosion resistance.
