Pro-Tec Coating announces president’s retirement

Leipsic, Ohio-based Pro-Tec Coating Co., a 50/50 joint venture between United States Steel Corp. of Pittsburgh and Kobe Steel Ltd. of Japan, has announced that Bryan Vaughn has retired from his position as president after 34 years of service in the steel industry.

Brent Rosebrook, who most recently served as vice president of finance and administration, has been named acting president.

Vaughn began his career as a management associate at U. S. Steel's former Geneva Works in Utah in 1981. He advanced through a series of increasingly responsible positions in steelmaking with the company at various locations until being named president in 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Rosebrook joined the company in 1997 as controller. He was promoted to his most recent role in 2004. Rosebrook is a graduate of Hillsdale College with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
