Tucker Induction Systems names chief engineer/sales engineer

Tucker Induction Systems, Shelby Twp., Mich., has appointed Micah Black, an induction heating author and industry speaker, as chief engineer/sales engineer. In this position, Black oversees the development and installation of the company's induction tooling, including a new line of standard induction scanners and power supplies.

Black has been involved in the induction industry for 24 years as an induction tooling designer, design supervisor, and project manager. He is the co-author of the "Handbook of Induction Heating, " and "Steel Heat Treatment Handbook. " He also contributed to a number of articles on induction heating.

Tucker Induction Systems produces induction heating equipment, including custom turnkey systems. It also retrofits and rebuilds existing induction heating equipment and induction coils.
