Metal producers and processors can learn the best way to position their companies in the marketplace and make informed business decisions by attending the Toll Processing 2011 conference, March 2 to 4, at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The theme of the 15th annual conference, sponsored by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), Rockford, Ill., is "Strategic Moves."
Dan DiMicco, chairman, president, and CEO of Nucor Corp. — recognized by The Harvard Business Review as one of "The Best-Performing CEOs in the World" — will deliver the event opening address March 3 on leadership qualities and restoring strength to U.S. manufacturing.
On March 4, Emily DeRocco, president of The Manufacturing Institute and the new National Center for the American Workforce, will deliver the event's second keynote on U.S. manufacturers’ ability to compete in the global economy.
Informative presentations will help attendees make educated decisions, and leading industry partners will reveal strategies for making successful business moves. An interactive editorial panel discussion on March 3 will feature editors from American Metal Market, Metal Center News, and Steel Business Briefing to share their perspectives on the state of the metals industry. Panelists will present a short synopsis of the past year and discuss how some companies have adapted to meet ongoing challenges.
FMA's global economist, Dr. Chris Kuehl, and steel industry analyst and veteran of U.S. Steel Corp. Glenn Kidd will participate in an interactive discussion focused on global and domestic economic issues. Other engaging presentations will address best practices for processors, emerging markets, automotive markets, and a steel industry overview.
The Toll Processing 2011 conference will be co-located with The FABRICATOR®'s Leadership Summit: 6th Annual Metal Matters.
