FMA founder Milo J. Pitkin Jr. dies

Milo J. Pitkin Jr., 76, founder of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), Rockford, Ill., died July 18 at his home in Poplar Grove, Ill.

Pitkin was a graduate of Drake University with a bachelor's degree in business. In addition to founding FMA, Pitkin served as the first publisher of The FABRICATOR® magazine and was a founder of FABTECH®Intl. He pioneered technologies in ergonomic office equipment, welding automation, and meat processing equipment.
