Lincoln Technical Institute to add machining and manufacturing training

Lincoln Educational Services Corp., West Orange, N.J., a national provider of specialized technical training, will launch a CNC machining and manufacturing technology career training program at its Lincoln Technical Institute campus in Mahwah, N.J.

Lincoln Tech has partnered with CNC manufacturer Haas Automation Inc. to tailor its curriculum to the specific skills needed by hiring managers in the field today. Shaun McAlmont, Lincoln's CEO, said the school's proximity to a major Haas factory outlet, along with the anticipated need across the two states, were factors in launching the program in Mahwah.

Haas Automation is presenting a $50,000 grant to create a scholarship fund for future Lincoln students training at the Mahwah campus for careers in CNC machining and manufacturing technology. Recipients of these scholarships, donated on behalf of the Gene Haas Foundation, will be determined by a committee that includes members of the New Jersey Technology and Manufacturing Association, Haas Factory Outlets, the Lincoln Group of Schools, and industry members.
