Miller, Hobart Bros. named official welding equipment providers for Lambeau Field expansion
The Green Bay Packers have named Miller Electric Mfg. Co., Appleton, Wis., and Hobart Brothers Co., Troy, Ohio, as the official welding equipment providers for the Lambeau Field expansion.
The two companies have partnered with Neenah, Wis.-based general contractor Miron Construction Co. Inc. to provide the construction team and ironworkers with welding and heat treatment technology, consumables, weld fume extraction equipment, and welding safety gear for the project.
The expansion will be completed in 2013 and involves substantial new construction to both end zones, including 6,600 new seats in the south end zone and new, high-definition videoboards in both end zones. Both videoboards and a new viewing terrace in the north end zone will be operational for the 2012 season.
