Kent opens Mexico service center, starts up two strip accumulators

Kent Corp., North Royalton, Ohio, has opened an office in Monterrey, Mexico — a partnership between Kent and the newly formed Piecsa Equipment & Consumables. Piecsa will provide sales and service of new and used Kent equipment to the Latin American market. The company also will manufacture high-frequency work coils and impeders and will stock and distribute Kent’s tube mill consumable products.

Kent also has installed two heavy-gauge strip accumulators for customers in the OCTG and structural steel industries. The customers were looking for more storage to enable them to meet end weld times. The machines are up to 48 in. wide by 0.640 in. thick.

Kent Corp. provides coil handling, end welding, and accumulating equipment to the tube mill, roll forming, and stamping industries.
