KUKA Robotics opens Canadian subsidiary

KUKA Roboter GmbH has announced the formation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada. The Canadian subsidiary will serve the growing number of KUKA robotics customers in Canada by providing local sales, services, and support.
In response to the announcement of the Canadian subsidiary, Stuart Shepherd, president of KUKA Robotics U.S. and CEO of KUKA Robotics Canada, stated, "Opening of the Canadian subsidiary is a key step in support of KUKA's continued growth in the Canadian marketplace. We see strong growth potential for KUKA in all industrial markets. This subsidiary will allow KUKA to offer direct support of products and services to new and existing customers while continuing to work with KUKA's System Partners and integrators to deliver consistent high quality, innovative turnkey systems."
KUKA robots, controls, and omniMove™ motion systems are utilized in many different facets of the robotics industry from automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, entertainment, logistics, food, pharmaceutical, medical, foundry and plastics industries and in multiple applications including material handling, packaging, palletizing, welding and surface finishing. Plans for the facility location and grand opening will be announced in the near future.
