Schuler AG appoints chairman, board of management

Schuler AG's supervisory board has appointed Jrgen Tonn as chairman of the board of management, effective October 1, 2006.
In his last position, Tonn was president and CEO of DS Technologie GmbH in Mnchengladbach, Germany. The internationally experienced engineering graduate brings expertise in machine and plant construction as well as management skills.
Dr. Peter Zeller, the outgoing chairman, left the company Sept. 7 by mutual consent because of conflicting views on the company's future strategy, the company said. The supervisory board thanked Dr. Zeller for his services to the company.
