II-VI Inc. acquires majority interest in Highyag Lasertechnologie GmbH

II-VI Inc., Saxonburg, Pa., has acquired a 74.9-percent equity interest in Highyag Lasertechnologie GmbH, Germany.
II-VI Inc. manufactures crystal-growth technology products for various industrial applications, including manufacturing, aerospace, military, medical radiology, high-power electronics, telecommunications, and thermoelectronics. Highyag Lasertechnologie manufactures automated equipment for laser cutting, drilling, and welding applications.
