Bolt Industries donates laser cutter to prison

May 10, 2005

Bolt Industries has donated a laser cutting machine to the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) — Stillwater.

The machine will be placed in the facility's fabrication shop and will be used to produce metal parts for private firms. The joint venture between offender education and MINNCOR, Minnesota's correctional industry program, is intended to help transition offenders into welding positions within the state's companies when they are released from prison.
