Bystronic opens Canadian office

Laser cutting and press brakes manufacturer Bystronic Inc. held a grand opening for its newest company, Bystronic Canada Ltd. on September 17, 2008. General Manager of the new company, Peter Kyc explained, "Bystronic places a very high value on customer satisfaction, and it is clear that our customers place a high value on local support." The new office is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

The program featured an interesting and timely economic overview by Craig Alexander of TD Financial Group, along with guest speakers Randy Wilson, President of John G. Wilson Machine Ltd. and Louis Veilleux, CEO of Metal Bernard. Peter Kyc, General Manager of the new company, was joined by Ferdi Toengi, CEO Bystronic Group, Christoph Schuepbach, President of the Market Division NEA (North America, Northern Europe, Asia), and Michael Zakrzewski, Head of Market Region NAFTA for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The move is part of Bystronic's overall strategy for North America. "Canada is an important market for Bystronic. We have enjoyed success in Canada with every product line so we thank our customers for making this expansion possible," remarked Michael Zakrzewski in his opening address. "This added level of commitment will serve to deepen the already excellent relationships between Bystronic and our customers."

Bystronic Canada Ltd. opened officially for business on September 2, 2008 performing market support activities. The new company provides field services, parts stock, technical support hotline, machine installation services, and training from its new home in Mississauga. This experienced service team is led by James Zenardo, who has a strong background working on Bystronic laser cutting machines.
