Laserdyne receives order for fiber laser system from Chaoyu Technology Co.

Prima Power Laserdyne, Champlin, Minn., has finalized an order with Chaoyu Technology Co. Ltd., Beijing, for a 430BD 6-axis fiber laser system.

The machine will be used to precision-weld, drill, and cut 2-D and 3-D stainless steel microelectrical components used in applications such as communication assemblies and electronics. It will augment the company’s existing welding capabilities, which include a 60-W QCW fiber laser.

The fiber laser operates at speeds up to 800 IPM in the X, Y, and Z axes with bidirectional accuracy of 0.0005 in.
