LIA Great Lakes Chapter meeting scheduled for April

The Laser Institute of America (LIA) has announced that the first formal meeting of the Great Lakes Chapter will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006. The meeting will be hosted by TRUMPF, Inc. Laser Technology Center, Plymouth Township, Mich. Steve Farmer of Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, will speak on Laser Safety.
The meeting is open to anyone interested in laser processing, and non-members of LIA are encouraged to attend to meet laser industry leaders. The Great Lakes Chapter of the Laser Institute of America (LIA) includes not only the state of Michigan but also Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and the province of Ontario, Canada. The chapter's goal is to create a unique opportunity to meet and network with individuals in the Great Lakes area and abroad, including end users, manufacturers of lasers and related products, safety officers, company presidents, and researchers.
