M&M installs Mazak laser system
M&M Manufacturing Co., Fort Worth, Texas, has installed a Mazak Hypergear 2D FMS laser cutting system. The machine is used primarily by the company's Precision Products Division, and also used by its residential products division for production of prefab HVAC components.
The laser has automatic features designed to reduce operator work load. Automatic setup features allow the machine to switch from cutting ultrathin to thick sheet, including painted galvanized sheet plate, with minimal operator involvement. The system cuts mild steel up to 1 in. thick.
The company is a sheet metal fabricator of round, rectangular, and spiral HVAC duct pipe and fittings.
