Murata Machinery USA names laser applications engineer

Murata Machinery USA Inc. (Muratec), based in Charlotte, N.C., has hired Andrew Wildman as a laser applications engineer. He has 26 years of experience in the industry, including 17 years as a field service engineer supporting a variety of machines, such as CO2 flat sheet cutters.

For the past several years, Wildman has worked in the gas turbine industry with laser cladders and fusion welding machines using IPG fiber lasers.

The company’s fabrication business unit specializes in applications, service, sales, and automation of turret punch presses and fiber lasers.
