Preco Laser Systems appoints regional sales manager

Preco Laser Systems LLC has announced that Ancel Thompson has joined the company as regional sales manager. Based in the Los Angeles area, Thompson supports the company's customers, products, and services in laser manufacturing processes, industrial laser systems, process development, and laser contract services.

A graduate of the University of Hatfield at Hertfordshire, England, Thompson has more than 20 years' experience in lasers and laser processing for industrial applications. He is a member of the Laser Institute of America, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Association of Forming and Fabrication Technology. He is the founding secretary and the current chairman for the ANSI B11.21 standard for machine tools, "Safety Requirements for Machine Tools Using Lasers for Processing Materials."
