TRUMPF Canada names managing director

Tobias Kuehnle has been named managing director of TRUMPF Canada, Mississauga, Ont., effective April 1, 2018. He succeeds Stefan Fickenscher, who now is sales director of the Machine Tool division at TRUMPF Inc. in Farmington, Conn. Fickenscher will act as interim managing director of TRUMPF Canada until Kuehnle assumes the position.

Kuehnle joined TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG in 2006. He began his career in the service department, holding three additional positions before becoming the head of spare parts in 2014. In 2015 Kuehnle became the head of global services sales, and he was named head of product management and sales support services in July 2017. He studied economics at the University of Augsburg in Germany.
