Ace Precision takes delivery of two Laserdyne systems

Prima Power Laserdyne, Champlin, Minn., has delivered two Laserdyne 795XL seven-axis BeamDirector® systems to contract manufacturer Ace Precision Machining Corp., Oconomowoc, Wis., for laser processing of components for the aerospace and power-generation industries.

In addition to the two new machines, Ace Precision uses four CO2 Laserdyne systems, five multiaxis BeamDirector drilling systems with Nd:YAG lasers, and a shuttle-equipped 2-D cutting system to produce complex combustion chambers, liners, turbine plenums, compressor housings, and tailpipe and heat shield assemblies.

The new machines are capable of seven axes of motion with an 80- by 40- by 40-in. work envelope that includes two rotary tables and the S94P CNC.
