Prima Power Laserdyne to install system in new China technology center

Champlin, Minn.-based Prima Power Laserdyne, a manufacturer of multiaxis laser cutting, welding, and drilling systems, has announced plans to install a Laserdyne 430BD system at the new Prima Power Technology Center in Suzhou, China. The new facility will provide laser process development for Asian customers in the fabricating industry.

The 6-axis machine will be equipped with a 15-kW QCW fiber laser to demonstrate precision cutting, welding, and drilling of 2-D and 3-D components in a variety of materials. The system operates at speeds up to 800 IPM in the X, Y, and Z axes with bidirectional accuracy of 0.0005 in.
