Chromalloy expands gas turbine component machining facility in Mexico

Chromalloy, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., is expanding capabilities in Guaymas, Mexico, with a new facility that will double its current capacity there to machine new OEM gas turbine engine components.

The 36,000-sq.-ft. plant is scheduled for completion in Q3 2015. Once online in early 2016, it will machine up to 68,000 gas turbine engine components annually. The plant replaces the company’s adjacent 17,000-sq.-ft. facility. The workforce is expected to grow from 85 to 250 people.
