Concept Laser installs additive manufacturing system at Faustson Tool

Concept Laser, Grapevine, Texas, has installed an M2 cusing multilaser metal additive manufacturing system at Faustson Tool of Arvada, Colo., a precision machine shop serving the aerospace, aeronautics, defense, energy, medical, and semiconductor industries.

The system is equipped with a new filter design and surface area of 20 sq. m. Available with two 200- or 400-W lasers, it employs segmented exposure strategy for laser melting of metals. The dual-laser configuration increases the machine's throughput by up to 1.8 times over that of its single-laser counterpart, depending on the geometry of the corresponding component.
